Ed Marlow

Edward Marlow joins Premier Investment Partners Limited as Global Head - Corporate & Investment Advisory, bringing over two decades of leadership experience across global financial institutions and frontier markets.

Ed is a seasoned executive with a distinguished career spanning investment banking, principal investments, and strategic advisory, with a particular focus on Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and North America.

Prior to joining PIP, Ed served as a Senior Board Advisor to Mota-Engil and was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, where he led lending activities across Sub-Saharan Africa. He previously spent seven years as Head of Sub-Saharan Africa for Credit Suisse Global Markets, and held the role of Global Head of Coverage for Principal Investments at HSBC. At HSBC, he also founded and led the African Principal Investments Business, demonstrating his deep commitment to the region’s development.

Ed’s career includes senior roles at Insinger De Beaufort, UBS, and Citigroup, and he currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of BCS Group. His expertise spans natural resources, infrastructure, fintech, and climate tech, where he is also an active investor.

A former British Infantry Officer, Ed holds an MBA from Cranfield University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the University of Northumbria, and a BA from Manchester University. He is a graduate of both the US Army Command and General Staff College and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

He also serves as a Council Member of the Royal African Society. At PIPL, Ed will lead the firm’s Corporate & Investment Banking division, driving strategic growth and delivering tailored financial solutions to sovereigns, financial institutions, development organizations, and corporates across Africa.
